/ Categories: Bank News

John R. Waldron, President and CEO of County National Bank (“CNB”), is pleased to announce the recent promotions of two members of the CNB team.

Ida Barnett has been promoted to Electronic Banking Officer for CNB. Ida joined CNB in 1998 and has 30 years of banking experience in electronic banking, data processing, and customer service. Ida was integral in the deployment of CNB’s electronic services with the implementation of personal online banking in 2004. She transitioned to Electronic Banking Manager in 2005 with the expansion of CNB’s electronic services and has been instrumental in the successful launch of online and mobile banking products for both business and consumer use. She oversees business and personal online banking, the CNB mobile apps, online bill pay, and alerts, along with managing the ACH Processing and Wire Departments.

Ida achieved Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification in 2013. AAP is a highly respected qualification recognizing ACH payments expertise. Ida participates in continuing education with annual courses in payments processing and risk management, and her skills and experience aid in ensuring that CNB achieves and maintains compliance with regulatory guidelines. She is a member of several CNB committees and is involved with a number of bank-sponsored events.

Josh Royal has been promoted to Assistant Vice President – Compliance and CRA Officer for CNB. Josh has 11 years of banking experience, with nine years in regulatory compliance. Josh joined CNB in 2019 as the Bank’s Compliance Officer, where he leads a robust compliance management system, supporting, monitoring, communicating, and reporting compliance activities throughout the Bank. Some of these activities include writing policies, ensuring staff is adequately trained on applicable laws and regulations, conducting audits, maintaining risk assessments for both compliance and fair lending, and monitoring regulatory agencies for new and updated regulations and guidance. In 2020, Josh accepted the role of CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) Officer and has many initiatives in progress to add to the Bank’s CRA program.

Josh holds a bachelor’s degree in banking/finance and economics from Northwood University, and recently completed his master’s degree in finance from DeVos Graduate School at Northwood University. He also holds the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation from the American Bankers Association and serves the community as a member of the Greater Jackson Habitat for Humanity’s Family Selection Committee.
