CNB Welcomes New Team Members

Joseph R. Williams, President and CEO of County National Bank (“CNB”), is pleased to announce the addition of Jody Dodd as VP - Chief Human Resources Officer, Sean Schumitsch as AVP - Commercial Loan Officer, and Jen Shears as the Somerset Center Branch Manager.

Jody Dodd joins CNB with 10 years of experience in human resources. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Olivet and a master’s degree from Central Michigan University. Outside of work, Jody enjoys kayaking, baking, and spending time with her family. She is excited to join CNB and contribute to a workplace culture where associates feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. “We’re excited to welcome Jody to CNB. Her strong background in human resources, combined with her fresh perspective from outside the banking industry, will bring valuable insight as we continue to invest in our people and culture,” said Joseph Williams.

Sean Schumitsch joins CNB with 20 years of experience in the banking industry. Sean primarily serves Ingham County, bringing a strong background in commercial lending, relationship development, and personalized financial solutions. Sean is actively involved in the Ingham County community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Strikeout Baseball. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, bass fishing, and golfing. “Sean is known for his thoughtful, client-first approach to lending. He takes the time to understand each client’s unique goals. We’re excited to have him on board and look forward to the energy he brings to our lending team,” said Chris Clarke, EVP-Chief Lending Officer, Lenawee Market Executive.

Jen Shears joins CNB with 27 years of experience in the banking industry. She brings extensive expertise in building strong client relationships and is knowledgeable about a wide range of banking products and services. Jen is actively involved in her community and is a member of the Jackson County Treasurer’s Association. She also volunteers with Together We Can Make a Difference, the Jackson Interfaith Shelter, the Dahlem Center, and Big Brothers Big Sisters, demonstrating her commitment to giving back. “Everything Jen does is rooted in serving clients with excellence. Her client-first mindset and leadership will be a great asset to our team and the clients we serve,” said Rachel Emery, VP-Retail Administration Officer.
